With Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 or later, Printer Setup Utility includes a Reset Printing System feature, a troubleshooting function that you might want to use after you try all other printing troubleshooting steps. Mac OS X: About the Reset Printing System feature I LOVE YOU AND I RELIVE! THANK YOU ALL!!! but then you need to be sure when selecting "print" under the FILE menu that you then choose a printer since the printers listed beforehand were probably deleted in the "reset" process. The webpage that I was given by my new best friend has the following directions on it. ![]() no printer showed up so I had to selected (identify) a new one (the same printer that was there before but no longer appeared). I reset the printing as indicated and then I went into the Word DOC and selected "print". From what I can see on this board, there are a lot of issues with leopard and wireless printers of all kinds. PS: The lack of support from HP and MAC for these kinds of issues is frustrating, particularly since Mac actually promotes this specific product with its own computers. (Note: the test printing works fine which is totally curious. This is crazy.Īnyone else having this problem of all print jobs being STOPPED in the queue? Remember: I'm trying to establish the capacity to print wirelessly, but if a USB cable will solve the problem I would happily do away with the wireless function. I can't alter the status and get them moving through. But when I go to print a document (whether DOC, PDF, TXT, XLS, or JPG) the print jobs get stuck in the queue with a status showing STOPPED. When I send a document to print it goes into the queue, but the status says: STOPPED. ![]() The printer / scanner / fax seems to communicate with my iMac just fine EXCEPT IT WON'T PRINT from my computer (MS Word 2008 or gmail or anything else.) I receive scans from the machine to my computer, no problem. It took me 7 minutes (literally) to set up my iMac, and about 45 minutes to set up the printer. Friends, I've just bought my first iMac and got a printer on promotion (rebate) at the Apple Store. ![]()
